सावधान हो जाइए कि अब जापान का घातक रेडीयेशन आपकी दहलीज तक पहुंच रहा है

जापान के फुकिशीमा संयंत्र से निकला रेडीयेशन (विकिरण) अब हजारों मील दूर कैलिफोर्निया तक पहुंच चुका है| रूस में इस रेडीयेशन से समुद्र में मछलियों के मरने की खबरें आ रही हैं| कैलिफोर्निया से हाल ही में रायपुर आये मित्र बताते हैं कि ऐसा बताया जा रहा है कि रेडीयेशन बहुत कम मात्रा में वहां पहुंचा है फिर भी हम नजर रखे हुए हैं| इस पर चर्चा कर रहे हैं और जितना सम्भव हो सके बारिश में भीगने से बच रहे हैं| इस बारिश से मुझे हाल ही में छत्तीसगढ़ में हुयी हल्की बारिश की याद आ गयी है| जब रेडीयेशन हजारों मील की दूरी तय कर सकता है तो जरुर यह हमारी दहलीज तक पहुंच चुका होगा और हमे बीमार करने की तैयारी कर रहा होगा| दुनिया भर के देश रेडीयेशन की मात्रा की पल पल में जांच कर रहे हैं| भारत में एक भी खबर ऐसी नही मिलती जिसमे हमारे तथाकथित जागरूक वैज्ञानिकों को ऐसा कुछ करते देखा गया हो| सारा देश या तो दिल्ली में चल रहे अंतहीन राजनीतिक ड्रामे में मशगूल है या फिर क्रिकेट के नशे में डूबा है| पर्यावरण की तो छोडिये दरवाजे पर खडी मौत को इस तरह अनदेखा करना भला कहां की समझदारी है|

जापान में बड़ा ही बुरा हाल है| टोक्यो में पीने के पानी में रेडीयेशन की मात्रा पायी गयी है| छोटे बच्चों को नल का पानी पिलाने से मना कर दिया गया है| आयातित पीने के पानी की मात्रा कम है और सुपरमार्केट में आते ही वह बिक जा रहा है| जापान से ज्यादातर विदेशी पहले ही वापस जा चुके हैं| रेडीयेशन की बढती हुयी मात्रा के कारण उन्होंने ऐसा किया, भले ही कारण कुछ और बताये गए हों| जापान के आम लोग इस हकीकत को जानते हैं| उन्होंने देखा कि कैसे चार्टर विमानों के लिए मारामारी मच गयी और उनके ही देश के अमीर तबके के लोग विदेशियों के साथ भाग निकले|

आज ही समाचार आया है कि फुकिशीमा के पास के समुद्र में रेडीयेशन की मात्रा हजार से अधिक गुना पायी गयी है| जापान में दसों किस्म की सब्जियों और खाद्य पदार्थों के उपयोग पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया गया है| इनमे रेडीयेशन की असुरक्षित मात्रा पायी गयी है| विश्व खाद्य संगठन के वैज्ञानिक जापान पहुंच गए हैं पर उनके लिए कुछ करने को बचा नहीं है| उनका अब तक का विश्लेष्ण यही कहता है कि वर्षों तक वनस्पतियाँ इस खतरे से प्रभावित रहेंगी और खेती चौपट हो जायेगी| रेडीयेशन के सच ने जापान के निर्यात को बुरी तरह प्रभावित किया है| जापान की खाद्य सामग्री कोई नहीं उपयोग करना चाहता है| जापानी सरकार कह रही है कि मछलियों पर रेडीयेशन का असर नहीं है और उन्हें खाया जा सकता है पर इस पर शायद ही कोई विश्वास करे|

जापान को सहनशील और संकट से जल्दी ही उबर जाने वाला देश बताकर उसे दुनिया ने अकेला छोड़ दिया है-ऐसा प्रतीत होता है| दुनिया भर के समाचार माध्यमो से अचानक ही जापान की खबरें गायब हो गयी हैं| बीबीसी का लाइव कवरेज बंद हो गया है| रेडीयेशन पर ज्यादा कुछ नहीं लिखा जा रहा है| जबकि जापान की स्थिति बद से बदतर होती जा रही है| रेडीयेशन के चलते दुनिया भर की मदद जापान तक नहीं पहुंच पा रही है| शुरुआती दिनों में ही अमेरिका ने अपना युद्धपोत जापान से दूर कर दिया था| तभी लोग समझ गए थे कि स्थिति नियन्त्रण से बाहर है| रेडीयेशन पर यूरोपीय विश्वविद्यालय में शोध कर रहे मेरे मित्र चैट के दौरान बताते हैं कि परमाणु ऊर्जा का अपना एक बड़ा बाजार है| रेडीयेशन की खबरों ने दुनिया भर में हलचल मचा दी| आम लोग परमाणु संयंत्रों को बंद करने की मांग करने लगे| सरकारें दबाव में आ गयी| ऐसे में तो परमाणु ऊर्जा का सारा बाजार चौपट हो जाता| तुरंत ही आवश्यक कदम उठाये गए और नतीजा यह हुआ कि रेडीयेशन की खबरें सुर्ख़ियों से गायब हो गयी| आम लोग मरे तो मरे इससे बाजार वालों को क्या|

" हम जानते हैं कि हम सब एक ताबूत में रख दिए गए हैं ज़िंदा ही|" मेरे जापानी मित्र हताशा से लिखते हैं| भले जापान ऊपर से शांत दिखे पर अंदर ही अंदर क्रोध से आम लोग उबल रहे हैं| उन्हें शिकायत है कि उनसे सच छुपाया जा रहा है| जापान में जब फुकिशीमा संयंत्र के आस-पास बीस किमी के क्षेत्र को खाली करवाया गया तो पश्चिमी वैज्ञानिकों ने पचास किमी को सुरक्षित दूरी बताया| चेर्नोबिल में हुयी परमाणु त्रासदी को एक से सात के स्केल में सात का दर्जा दिया गया| जापानी सरकार ने संकट को पांच पर रखा है यानि चेर्नोबिल से दो बिदु कम पर पश्चिम के वैज्ञानिक पहले ही कह चुके है कि जापान ने सात की सीमा पहले ही पार कर ली थी|

अमेरिका के जेम्स बर्गाढल लिखते हैं कि वहां रेडीयेशन के पहुँचने की खबर से ही सीवीड की मांग बढ़ गयी है| आधुनिक शोध में रेडियोएक्टिव आयोडीन के लिए सीवीड का अधिक उपयोग प्राणरक्षक पाया गया है| अमेरिका में जहाजों के कबाडखाने में काम करने वाले श्रमिकों को पहले ही से सीवीड खाने को कहा जाता रहा है ताकि वे जहाज़ों को तोड़ते समय निकलने वाले रेडीयेशन से बचे रहें| जापान और आस-पास के देशों में समुद्र में उगने वाली यह वनस्पति रेडीयेशन से संक्रमित हो चुकी है और खाने योग्य नहीं रही है|

ऐसी वनस्पतियाँ जिनमे आयोडीन की प्राकृतिक मात्रा अधिक हो रेडियोएक्टिव आयोडीन से बचा सकती हैं| ऐसी भारतीय वनस्पतियों में सिंघाड़े और कमल से मिलने वाले पोखरा का नाम सबसे पहले याद आता है| दोनों ही पर्याप्त मात्रा में उपलब्ध हैं फिर क्यों इसे अनुमोदित करने में हमारे वैज्ञानिक देर कर रहे हैं, यह समझ से परे हैं|

रेडीयेशन से बचने के आधुनिक साजो-सामान से लैस फुकिशीमा संयंत्र के दो कर्मचारी बुरी स्थिति में अस्पताल में भर्ती किये गये| रेडीयेशन से संक्रमित पानी में उनका पैर चला गया और पानी ने उन्हें जला दिया| वे शायद ही बच पायें| जापान के आम लोग इस घटना को गम्भीरता से लेते हैं| वे तो बिना किसी सुरक्षा के जीने को मजबूर हैं| जाने उनका क्या हाल हो रहा होगा|

बाहर बादल गरज रहे हैं| बारिश होगी-ऐसा लगता है| मेरे लिखने की गति तेज हो रही है| सोचता हूँ कि कैसे भी छत्तीसगढ़ के माध्यम से अपनी बात आम लोगों तक पहुंचा सकूं कि इस रेडीयेशन भरी बारिश से बचें और सतर्क रहें| देर करना उचित नहीं होगा|
