मेरी जंगल डायरी से कुछ पन्ने-64 - पंकज अवधिया अहिराज, चिंगराज व भृंगराज से परिचय और साँपो से जुडी कुछ अनोखी बाते कुछ लोगो को एक स्थान पर खडा देखकर मैने गाडी रोकी। पास जाने पर पता चला कि किसी के घर मे एक साँप घुस गया था। अभी ही उसे मारा गया था। सामने साँप पडा था। उसका सिर कुचला हुआ था पर उसमे जान थी। उसका शरीर हरकते कर रहा था। इसे चूहा खाने वाला साँप बताया जा रहा था। यह नुकसानदायक नही है-ऐसा भी लोग कह रहे थे पर उसे देखने से मन मे भय उत्पन्न हो जाता था। बडा ही लम्बा साँप था। मुझे सर्प-विज्ञान का वह नियम याद आ गया कि जितना बडा साँप उतना कम जहर। पर यह सभी मामलो मे सही नही है। आधुनिक सन्दर्भ ग्रंथ बताते है कि लम्बे साँप भी जहरीले हो सकते है। जिन्होने इस साँप को मारा था वे महुए के नशे मे धुत थे। मेरा कैमरा देखकर जोश से भर गये। उन्होने साँप को अपने गले मे डालना चाहा पर उसमे जान थी। वह जमीन मे गिर गया। गाँव के बुजुर्ग उसे जलाने की तैयारी कर रहे थे। भीड मे से किसी ने कहा कि पहले इसे पूरा मार तो दो। क्यो आधा मारकर तडपने देते हो? यह आवाज भीड मे ही खो गयी। साँप तडपता रहा। उसके सिर पर जोर का वार ...

स्त्री रोग, रोहिना और “ट्री शेड थेरेपी”

मेरी जंगल डायरी से कुछ पन्ने-17 - पंकज अवधिया दस जून, 2009 स्त्री रोग, रोहिना और “ट्री शेड थेरेपी” घने जंगल मे एक वृक्ष की ओर इशारा करते हुये साथ चल रहे पारम्परिक चिकित्सको ने कहा कि आम महिलाओ को अपने कष्टो से मुक्ति के लिये इस वृक्ष की देखरेख शुरु कर देनी चाहिये। देख-रेख यानि सुबह से शाम तक इसकी सेवा। जितना हो सके उतना समय इसके साये मे गुजारना चाहिये। पारम्परिक चिकित्सक की बात सुनकर मैने कैमरा निकाल लिया और विभिन्न कोणो से उस वृक्ष की तस्वीर लेने लगा। यह मेरा जाना-पहचाना वृक्ष था। मैने इसके पारम्परिक उपयोगो का दस्तावेजीकरण किया है पर जैसा कि आप जानते है, हर वानस्पतिक सर्वेक्षण से नयी जानकारियाँ मिलती है। मै तस्वीरे लेता रहा और पारम्परिक चिकित्सक अपनी बात कहते रहे। साधारण महिलाओ को तो इस वृक्ष के साये मे रहना चाहिये। पहले जंगलो मे बहुत से ऐसे स्थान होते थे जहाँ ये वृक्ष समूह मे उगा करते थे। तब पारम्परिक चिकित्सक महिलाओ के परिवारजनो से कहते थे कि यदि सम्भव हो तो उस वृक्ष समूह के साये मे मिट्टी की अस्थायी झोपडी बना ले और वही रहकर औषधीयो का सेवन करे। उनका...
